| Pheromones and Stop Smoking Pheromones are a chemical that the body of a living thing produces in order to attract a mate but some researchers say there may be a link between pheromones and the ability to stop smoking. But that link has not yet been proven. The ability to stop smoking most would argue comes from a strong will not a chemical in your body. If that were true then anyone could stop smoking when they wanted. But it could be said that the pheromones produce a chemical in the body that can fight off the body’s craving for nicotine. With that being possible, then maybe you could stop smoking with the help of pheromones. One new popular way to quit smoking has been top wear a nicotine patch then the body produces the pheromones and then there could be a chance that the body’s chemistry could interact with the patch thereby eliminating the chance for the body’s craving for the addiction.
But that could the only way where the pheromones come into play. There is being some studies done where the nicotine in the cigarette could collide with the pheromones making the nicotine a turn off when mixed with the body’s chemicals. But there haven’t been any conclusions so far. If it were that easy then more people would be able to stop smoking, maybe there has to be another chemical that interacts with the pheromones to make the body want to stop smoking. Scientists are working on it and they may find an answer. |
